Topsail Hill State Park

Laura and Mase Mason

Day 7 was fun. Lots of aquatic life spotted during today’s paddle. Plus we got some nice paddle trail magic thrown our way,

First we stopped in Sandestin for a break and up walk Mase and Laura Mason. They struck up a conversation with Jim and the next thing you know they offered to take us to the Broken Egg restaurant for something to eat. Wow! It was so good. Then they drive us back to our yaks. A big thank you to Mase and Laura for their kindness.

Then we paddled a couple more miles to Topsail Hill Campground. It’s a mile walk to the tent sites and they offer a tram service.

As we waited a German couple ( Ralph and Sylvia) approached and offered to let us put our gear bags on a little red wagon they had. We took them up on it and walked to our tent site.

Then as we were eating dinner Sylvia walks over and gives us two cold Heineken’s. Amazing!

What a fabulous day.
